He Survived

Her guffaws were imprinted on his mind,
like a recurring uproar
laughing his worries away,

And every occasion the heart betrayed,
looming the dark clouds
over his benign thoughts,

She planned those accidental visits,
and it didn’t matter
how dark the alleys were,
or how desolate his aura was,
she found a way to invade,
occupying every corner of his mind,
and despite the wretched self
or the melancholy he assumed,
her aberrant thoughts made him smile,
and that’s how he survived

  1. Thank you for your kind words. For me Love is divine and I write some from experiences, some by observing and few describing the character from my book(yet to publish). 😊

  2. What good is a love if it’s being forgotten and never surprises yours with their sudden arrival. Smiling without a reason, well, there always is.
