Escape the Illusion

Abrade the layers of soot
that you invariably wear
from those deceiving eyes

You may not be aware,
but you appear spurious
for illusion conceives images
that never exists,
you then live in a world
that you presumably conceive

So, clear your vision
before you dare to peep inside,
for the worldly mirage
only let you see some pleasant visage,
but the reality is far beneath the skin
have the courage to look within

  1. Omg. That is the best compliment I have ever received. But the fact is I am just an insignificant speck and Rumi is shine of the all stars put together. I will treasure it Yasmin. Thanks a lot ❀️

  2. You are most welcome Shantanu😊
Your words make me selfreflect many times. And also make me think about certain feelings or emotions which we deliberately ignore or inhibit at times.Keep writingπŸ‘,Keep help people inspire and heal.

  3. Yes, we all have to look further than we think we have to look. Good poem

  4. β€œThe first will be last and the last first. The least of you will be the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. Greatly favored by God is the person of poor spirit and gentle character!”

You are greatly loved by the one true Perfect Being indeed, my friend! Your loving-kindness and humility is evident by your very words and actions. I am greatly humbled by having met you and read your words. I am a man of unclean lips amongst a people of unclean lips! Forgive me of my foul language sir! I don’t know anyone else who would be worthy.

  5. I would suggest waiting a little before reading my book. I have to edit out some foul language. My earthly desire to be controversial as if it mattered was going beyond my understanding that God does not need false polemics to reach his true people.

  6. Thank you, my friend. I’m sure God will spare those who would be offended long enough for me to repent of such a trivial error.

  7. Alright, I have edited the draft so that no direct foul language is used. I may still have some editing to do on myself before my words are entirely compassionate like the great people I admire. However, I am humble enough to concede that I cannot know what I do not already know. I need the help of others to tell me where I lack humility.
