Sparkling shine from the distant moon
transcended her shadow
from a faraway place
reflecting her vivid glow
in the pristine water on a distant lake
And the gentle ripples on the waterbed
quietly oscillated her deviant visage
and slowly it unveiled
much artistry submerged in her vicious chimes
exposing her aberrant smiles
the mystic shades, one at a time
More he tried to decipher
further convoluted it became
robbing away his transient peace
snatching away his balance and rhythm
And as he stretched his hands
to confirm whether she was for real
the moon hid behind the grays
leaving his anxious soul
in an absolute dismay

Wow
Very nice as always. Love the imagery of the moon’s glow, the shadow, the lake and its ripples, and the impact it all has on the third person voice of your poem. Water is usually a symbol and a metaphor of our emotions and feelings. Also, I usually enjoy out-of-body poems like this one. I mean by that poems not always written in the first person “I”. You succeed in doing this here. It makes the poem less personal, but equally lovely and touching. Loved it!
Elegantly written. So beautiful and amazing. 🙂
Phenomenal. Loved each line but the end was just beautiful ❣️

You are welcome. So glad you like my analysis. I love to review poetry. My last post is a review of a book written by a friend of mine, Mario Savioni. He is a great poet who often talks about love relationships, especially about infatuation and unrequited love. I see a few similarities with some poem of yours I read. Perhaps you may want to have a look? Mario is a very important person in my life. If I had not met him I would not be trying to write poetry, have my blog and come across your beautiful work that always speaks to me. 😊
Thank you so much. I did read your post on that band I did leave a comment behind. I loved the review and I am slo glad I have come across you.
