Once It Was Love

Her heart a miasma
of convoluted miscreant thoughts
reek oozing through every crevice
each possible cleft

Her demeanor
curtailed emotions
wrapped in the shroud
of a wrung soul

Her tears
dry on the arid countenance
with scars of lost battled
crisscrossing stories of the past

such was her stature
for her love had turned rogue

  1. It was wonderfully written and I am liking the rogue theme. 🙂

  2. Loved the-vivid imagery and eclectic range of vocabulary you used. It has a darker tinge to it, the last line was breathtaking… her loved has turned rogue!
