Her Atrocities

The heart feels a pang
not because she leaves me
from time to time

I feel bereaved
not because she vanish
for reasons only she understands

It twinges
when she considers my love
as my weakness
and wear the confidence
that I will be present
whenever she wishes to return

My soul feels the pain
when she assumes I will be there
no matter how dearly she holds a grudge

Maybe a day will come
when she will call my name
but will not receive a resonance,
she will search for me
but I will disappear, nowhere to found,
maybe she will scream, howl, and cry
but my heart will avert
for it will be arrested in an illusion
of those bygone days’ of beautiful yore
and all doors will close
refrain to accept
any more atrocities or heartaches

  1. Good one . And you are not obsessed with rhyme , still your poetry retains rhythm .
I like the way you use bold letters. It helps lazy readers like me 😜
