Yesteryear’s Yore

I vividly recall my days of youth
when the desires were innocent,
strifes short lived
and life was in always harmonious blithe

I remember the beautiful adolescence days
when the heart melted
with mere meeting of eyes
and love thrived
without any ill fitting disguise

The reverie of the opulent yore
daubed my memories
with shades of turquoise
the feel of her gentle touch
the craving of that benign smile,
the longing,
the words,
all convoluted into a confetti
showering yesteryears love

and captivated in the crevice
of such lovely reminiscence
I quiver and remember fondly
those golden times
