Running Blind

The cacophony of myriad thoughts
crisscrossing the labyrinth paths of my mind
and her relentless devilish grin
trapped in the crevices
of the nooks and corners of my soul
I tapered my ears
to curtail the noise
draped my eyes
with deviant artistry
yet her disguised vision
and those miscreant words
kept flaring back
remorsefully
with a fiend laced smirk
and sadly even if I run blind
it wouldn’t give me
my much needed respite
