Estranged Life

Every time I looked at the moon,
I smile,
for I know in the darkest of the night
when the moonlit skies are the only hope to find the true north,
you and I will be looking at the same moon with a wry smile,
for I may be lonely
but the moon oozes your reflection
and that feeling will still be by my side
and when the gelid airs touch my visage
it leaves behind frost wintery flakes
sliding me into your dream
and while I am awake in the brittle cold night
it brings the sinister loneliness
a known name
and a beautiful meaning
to this otherwise estranged life
