You saw my unkempt beard
my oversized coat
my torn shoes
my dilapidated valise
and assumed I am an oaf
But I don’t blame you
for the world is too prejudiced
to judge by appearance
and who has time to
comprehend, reflect, ponder and understand
the real person behind the skin
