Mea culpa

Every time the world was anxious
to know who the culprit was
she would without much hesitation
raise her glance
and with a soft silvery tone
voiced mea culpa

Such was her splendor
for she was a leader of mettle
all faults were hers
and all wins she credited to her team’s decor
