You are searching for the absolute truth
relentlessly trying to find why he parted ways?
and when you are unable to find the reasons you take a self-exile hiding in a shell
You portray the vivid imagery of a lost soul,
running helter-skelter without much respite,
you remain in self-denial,
blaming your thoughts for the vacuum
that has unceremoniously shadowed your face
And regardless of what the world says,
you are adamant to reveal the bitter truth,
but you’re naive,
for the truth is always a perspective
hidden between different shades of gray

Beautiful poem! “You portray the vivid imagery of a lost soul.” How decadent.
I can’t say more because the poem contain the phrase: “shades of gray” although you do not specify how many 🙂
I am joking, I hope you know. I love this piece, Shantanu!

This poem is actually quite poignant to me. Without bringing up a new blogger that has just started following me, your words match the description of “Many Shades of Gray” – It wasn’t until today did I realize I might have to part ways.
It’s sort of funny too because I read a piece by “Poetry From The Inkwell” that set off the same type of alarms inside me.
Excellent writing as always, and I’m very moved by the words and feelings that it evoked. Thank you. 😊

No, I should be thanking you. You and Inky’s words have really made me think quite a bit over something you both wrote. I truly appreciate both of you bringing that kind of light to me.
Hope you have a pleasant evening. God Bless. 😊
