Innocuous Smile – A Flash Fiction

Nothing was going right.  The scathing heat, the mounting anger, the beads of sweat and the incredulous wait. All mixed into a deadly potion making him fume in anger. There were moments when he desired to detest the wait, break the bond and liberate himself from the unprecedented pain he had self-imposed, but an uncalled yearning held him to his spot. And he hated it to the extreme. And then she arrived with an innocuous smile and in that trice, all his hatred, angst, bewildered dissolved in her irresistible charm. He may not know but he was caught in her mystic vibes and even he did, he wouldn’t have bothered to ignore her charm.
