Burgeon – A Flash Fiction

The emotions were bottled inside her from time immemorial and she always did a splendid job shrouding it with her ingenious smile. And it didn’t matter, whether the skies pour, or the horizon remained draped with some pewter spread or the wraith tip-toed in a silhouette night, she never displayed her fear or her pretentious self and remained wrapped in her ostensible allure.

Until that moment when his eyes accosted her guarded soul, and the shield melted, the eyes became vulnerable and her mask dissolved in his velvety talks. All the termors she held for long burgeoned, and she appeared gorgeous in her newfound grace.
