Inkhorn – A Poem

You impose your pedantic nuances
on my valiant mind
and drag me to your societal bullpen
preaching me about how to live life in reticence
and whenever I open my mind
you put your guards up
shielding to absorb any sensible opinions
for you put a blind
and today I break free
from your pretentious cage
escaping from the inkhorn
that you gloriously define
