Broken Dreams

I came to accost you
hold you in the folds my heart,
like how you used to fit so well
in the crevices of my soul

I came with myriad dreams
and splendor thoughts,

I came with hope,

I came to create our world,
brick by brick
to raise a shelter
we would call our own

I came with such feathery dreams
and a deviant hold

And now I am leaving with nothing
but a morbid soul
