And when I Saw You

The flowing hair,
The glowing face,
The smile floating like a blissful grace.

The meandering talks,
The shining eyes,
The insane labyrinth of some dwam in disguise.

I sat there agape,
Lost in that trice,
How I wished the moment to freeze for some more time.
The heart oscillated like it had never before,
And the world felt like there was nothing else to behold,

I do not know how to explain,
Unsure whether I should give it a name,
Some call it love and others think it’s inane,

Some brand it,
Others label it,
And few might brandish the thought.

But for me, it was a trance,
a stupor,

an occult,
Hard to express in mere words.

Longing

Longing is such a wasted ado. Slowly but surely, it leads you to a defeatist creed. Waiting ruins, craving detest you. It arrests your mind in extraneous perturbations.

Rather be carefree and keep doing what is right. Shed off the burden, you are never tasked to carry it in the first place.

The joy of achieving something without anticipation is much sweeter than gaining anything through the rigorous wait. For in wait time does not fly, for in wait we give away the zeal to try.

So, what would you like to be? A miserable soul or someone whom others can behold.

Near Yet So Far

How many times I weave few words of love,
But refrain from showing you.
And those occasions when I harness some thoughts,
But abolish to express.
I often smile gazing the moon,
When I see your reflection in its shadow from time to time.
And the pitter-patter of raindrops on that windowsill,
How it reminds me of our endless talk.

The summer nights,
The starlit skies,
The evening hues,
The wilderness sights,

Every nature’s caper brings back the vivid memories,
The days of our bonding,
The trail of those beautiful times.

I try reaching out to you,
And though you are near,
Yet far away from my yearning heart

Annoyance

You are like that song,
lingering to a point of annoyance,
Yet hard to abstain.

the tune glued permanently in my head,
No matter how hard I try,
The words fail to recollect,
And more I want to push it away,
It escalates with further vigor,
growing on me as the time advance.

And then after some time I recall the words,
the rhyme, the tune – displaying urgency it surges,
I sing it loud,
I hum it all day long,
With the hope that neither the syllable nor you will fail me this time around.
