Dissolving Fear

The gelid air absolved
her restrained emotions
and her eyes brimmed
glittering yesteryears schmaltz
in the shadows of the precipitous brine
and with the flow of unrestrained tears
her long withheld perturbations,
her obscure fears
and her dreadful inhabitation,
all melted away
like the heart met the earnest soul
in the realm of some enthralling divine

The Cocoon

Ckonfab

The cocoon she had formed over time had cracked open. She was aware but consciously ignorant about it. A strange mix of discomfort and anxiousness was forming a deadly potion on her mind. Her sane being wanted to restrict exposure to the wild world, but the devil inside wanted to explore the uncertainties.

She floated in a sea of ecstasy as the first ray of externalities braced her soul. It felt exquisite, different and refreshing, from an otherwise mundane life. For once she wished to use all her might to leap forward, breakaway and free her soul. The new world was waiting with open arms, but will she succeed in breaking free from her cocoon? Only time would tell

The weatherman. You can predict the weather wrong every time and get away with it without getting fired. The best part is you don’t even have to say sorry 😀😀

The Ludicrous Heart

Her name was engraved in every stria
crisscrossing his soma
screaming her presence
from all visible outlook

Foundered in her mirage
and delirious for her essence
he perched his soul
on the toes of his hope

As he looked through his demurred eyes
the phalanx of her grotesque illusions
made his hope leavened
and in such momentary ecstasy
his bereavement remained quiescent
and the ludicrous heart weaved some dreams hopelessly impossible
but then miracles happen often
in such momentary trice

Quagmire

Ckonfab

All my will to detest your view,
My promise to disregard every shade of your hue,
The strenuous look I scorn all this while,
The drawn countenance and the pensive smile,
Every stance I compel my heart to swear by,
Somehow I convince my mind you are a lie.

But all thoughts wrestles down to a painful defeat,
When I see you sauntering down that street.

Even your gentle whisper,
Makes me drop all my guards,
Leaving me awestruck,
Dissolving all spars.

Though I know it is a deceitful smile,
Yet I ignore every impeding rile.

And I stand there spellbound,
Unsure what to do,
Entwine in your quagmire,
Burning in my self instilled rue.

Unspoken Words

His spoken verse failed to captivate souls,
like some insignificant vapor
dissolving in the oblivion of nothingness,
he screamed, bulldozed, used force
yet his thoughts were disseminated
by the clan as some meaningless bout
meant to be obliterated

There was another voice
hidden in the shroud of silence
not spoken through syllables
but conveyed through eyes
and her unspoken words said volume,
alas! He was not listening
or maybe he lacked aberrant ears
to hear her prose
but despite such tragedy
the clamor in her silence
was creating a chaos on the mind of some defiant souls

Promontory Rock

She stood strong
like the promontory rock
jutting out from the rough sea
standing for time immoral
battering the gale, the storm
and the high tides
during the full moon nights

And during the sun-kissed days
it battled with no respite
while the waves slapped its face
it stood tall exuding divine grace
and with defiant hope
it waited for the day
when a wandering seagull
would rest its wings
on its knoll
after a long haul flight
and when with perched eyes
it would gaze the horizon
mapping the pathway
to resume the flight
before the fall of the night

Until then the cape would provide
the seagull comfort and love
before it would soar away
consumed by its wanderlust
with the hope that it would
one day come back to the promontory rock

I am gone

I am gone
like the whiff of wind
for I stalled for long
longing for you
holding my yearning heart
to get your attention
for you to accept my love

I am gone
for despite of showing
utmost sincerity in my words
and in displaying my earnest love
you showed ignorance
and left me hanging for eternity

I am gone
for your callous abrasion
for taking me for granted
showing me hope
and then snapping it away
for your boisterous claim
assuming I will never be gone

You may think it is a false alarm
and I will return
like flowers returning in spring
like the moon coming out of silhouette
like the sun appearing every dawn
but this time you are wrong
for I am gone
never to return again
