Our Parallel Worlds

Ckonfab

We do not meet every day,
Nor do we talk that often,
Neither we have any relationship decree,
Nor we have any answers to agree.

We live in parallel worlds,
With different people and myriad thoughts,
Our priorities maybe divergent,
And our dreams might not be convergent.

But despite all disparate views,
And our carefree attitude,
We bond together,
Like Morning mist and shining dew.

The reason for this is just one,
For our souls beat,
To the same rhythm,
That make hymns begin.

A Kinder World

We all need a kinder world. Beautifully penned by Shaurya

Denken

The world today is being filled with so many problems. There is so much hate. Another school shooting happened in Florida a few weeks ago. I wrote a poem regarding this.

A Kinder World

We live in a harsh world today
School shootings, bullying and hate
A bully pushes over a poor kid
And left him in a bad state

People commenting on color
While they’re just another race!
At the end, we’re all humans
So racism should be erased

A trigger was pulled in Florida
For the insanity of a man
So many students apprehensive
We need a new plan!

Many bad things are happening
Like making fun of people’s hair
We should stop the small mean comments
The world should treat everyone with care

So what If I am a Wanton

Ckonfab

Her incredulous visage said everything,
Nothing remained concealed,
She was a wanton,
Rumors erupted,
And the world stared,
But not once she lost her sheen,
Neither she made it a clandestine affair,
For that’s what she was,
And that’s how she wanted to be,
So she didn’t let the social stigma,
Force her to put up any insidious charade.

Skeet

Ckonfab

His sharp eyes hardly missed
to shoot any flying skeet,
he enjoyed enticing dames
disguising them with his tricks

Until one day,
when his vision got blurred
by a lady’s fleeting soul,
and since that day
he was never the same,
neither in parts nor in whole

He tried many times
but never once
he could bring back his old stance
despaired, all he desired now
was to be the skeet,
for her eyes to behold his writhe soul

Enigmatic Delhi

Ckonfab

Since last year I have been in Delhi almost every second month. Considering 14 hours of flight time it might sound dreadful, but to my surprise, I always look forward to the journey, as I can never get enough of this city.

Delhi never disappoints me. Contrary to all the big cities of the world I have been to, Delhi stands out. Every time I am here, an immense glee engulfs my visage. It is like an enigma with no dearth of excitement. And it doesn’t matter what the occasion is Delhi never ceases to amaze.

One can find many reasons to detest Delhi. The increasing level of pollution, the chaotic traffic, and the ever-soaring crime are prominent enough to write it off. But despite everything that is wrong, my love for the city never diminishes.

It has been two days since I arrived here and my body clock is…

Wasted Time

Ckonfab

He was hallucinated and dazed. It felt like ages since he last met her in that dusky gloomy evening. His mind drifted thinking about her and a pensive smile crossed his lips as he murmured in ambivalence, “Only she can make me feel the presence of her absence.”

The loud shrill of the train whistle shook him out of his reverie. The lone bulb in the coach was fighting hard to cast the yellow dim shadows in the ghostly darkness. He rubbed his eyes to get a clearer vision, stretched his senses and tried hard to read the dials on his wristwatch. It was twenty minutes past one in the morning. Two more hours to Newport! Two more hours before the possibility of any confrontations and two more excruciating long hours to spend in agony and anxiousness. Nothing was clear, neither the present nor what the future beholds.

Somewhere deep…
