Beyond Reach

Ckonfab

You are like the shining moon in that sky draped in grey,
always there yet beyond reach.

The Untouched Soul

He used words like fables
from some time forgotten tales,
prose weaved with pearls
expressed in a simple vernacular way

For that is the only language he knew,
without the shade of vitriolic
or any boisterous hue,
void of the stratagems that often people play,
corralling to deceive someone
in the most deceitful way

He had no secrets,
neither had any sins to hide,
he never played any planned chide,
or took anyone for a ride

For he had the most beautiful soul
still surviving tangled
in this maligned wild world

Lament or Happiness Laced

Those eyes were filled to the brim
and it was a matter time
before the tears would spill
from the edges of her doe shaped rim

And I stood there helpless and agape,
unsure whether I could
embrace the storm,
or would I be able to escape the norm?

For I was unsure
what those droplets were,
was it a downpour of lament eyes
or happiness flowing with aplomb

Detest The Promise

Don’t make promises,
and pledges that you invariably announce
when your velvet heart swell with exuberance,
and you’re on a cloud nine

‘Cause your elation will disappear,
like effervesces of a soda bottle
and like some bursting bubbles or fading fizz,
your promises will soon vanish
without leaving any residue to question or quiz

Instead of such hollow sight
give me your honest try,
display some purpose,
show some hope,
hold my hands and walk along

For promises are often broken
but what seldom fail
is a committed heart,
standing tall in testing time,
always willing to make a sincere attempt

Loving Her Soul

Life seldom let her rest,
challenging her with unfathomable quests
and no matter how much the circumstances lest her,
she bolted away with aplomb

She is a force
like a wind surging pass
every pretentious wall,
and with a reverent soul
she illuminates path, defines new way

And it doesn’t matter
how austere or fulminating
the declamation is
her ingenious gaiety
calmed every passing storm with ease

And for such allure
I am in love with her soul
till eternity comes
