Mystic Smile

Draped in a mystic smile
and your unsaid words
wrapped in some chaotic impulsion screamed with an eerie
Yet displaying an enigmatic charm
I reach out to you
but you dissolve like vapor
slowly rising
like an ephemeral soul
from some celestial abode

Ready to Erupt

The heart brandishing
a few aberrant thoughts
with sudden bursts of joyous delight
the essence of many such charming blithe
lies incessant in the shades of my eyes
all waiting to accost her
ready to erupt any time

Desire

In my heart,
between the crevices,
a desire persist with relentless bravery,

Abating many storms,
escaping several typhoons,
always floating with hope
and that desire is nothing
but your aberrant love

A Beautiful Gesture

Isn’t life all about treasuring moments to be cherished later in leisure? I experienced a similar feel during my stay at The Leela in Delhi.

Work trip to India is always short, sleep deprive and hectic. I arrived last Sunday and traveling back today.

Yesterday, after a long day at work I returned to the hotel with a sole purpose to get my much needed sleep. My battle with jet-lag was troubling me to a point of annoyance. As I was putting my phone to charge, a paper note caught my attention. And as I read the note, I couldn’t help smiling. All my long-held tiredness disappeared in a whiff.

I am reading the third book of the Amish Shiva Trilogy. The book was lying on the nightstand next to the bed, and right next to it I saw a bookmark, with the image of the front page neatly wrapped around it, and a note from the Butler on duty, Rebecca Williams.

Such a thoughtful deed, and for sure she invariably touched few chords within me. Here is a big shout out to her and to her beautiful gesture.

Close Door

I am a close door,
a dark thick portal
made of iron wrought
with no egress

I am a lock,
that has lost it keys
and closed in my cocoon
I deviously enjoy
my solace in stealth

I am now a loner
and my heart is no longer exposed
for her playful chides
and betrayals any more

The Last Dance

They had so much to say,
But we’re constrained,
And had so much done,
But were abstained.

The fire was flaring,
with extreme vigor in their heart,
Eyes were defining,
nonchalantly some uncharted path,
But the pronouncement of the so-called world,
Were impeding them to break free from some ever winding curl.

And in the midst of,
such apprehensions and reasoning,
The music played at the backdrop,
Pulling them so abruptly they could hardly stop,
While the tango was gently raising the music pace,
Their eyes met with elegance,
And heart melted with some passionate grace,
Before they could realize,
What had struck them,
They were frolicking,
Like smooth swiveling helm.

They didn’t blink,
Their eyes seemed glued,
Their hands tied in a knot,
Their face so close they could hardly abutt.

And in that moment,
Every shield was lost,
Every curtain was raised,
And every guard was dropped,

Though no word was spoken,
No promises were sworn,
Yet their silence,
Spread a magical spell,
And that tacit last dance,
It was hard not to adorn.
