Power of Hope

Everything departed.
Her pride,
all her beloved possessions,
and people she called her own.

Things she took pride on
her love,
her passion,
everything she thought she owned,
left her alone

Derailed, sure was,
Despair, she felt many times,
But despite all odds
there was some unknown force
that kept her going
inch by inch,
one stride at a time.

Surprised, she looked inside her,
to trace the reason behind her drive,
and then she found it to be nothing else
but her hope to stay alive.

And she held on to it,
clasping it firmly with both her hands
and with all her might,
soon she was amazed to see
her belief surging back
glowing with light
in the darkest of the night,
in that moment she knew
the game was far from being over,
And she smiled on her find
with elegance and pride.

Against All Odds

The trust that flow in abundance
from your doe shape eyes,
and the smile that grace your lips
every time my thought crosses your mind
your relentless belief in me,
that is always stronger than mine
and the fact that I am never scared to fall
for I know you’ll catch me from behind,
gives me the strength,
and the implacable thrust,
to achieve the unachievable
against all odds

Impetuous Soul

She was impetuous,
always in a rush,
she never believed to rest and pause,
and her careened laced moves,
world seldom approved,
but her befuddled mind
never stopped her from soaring in blind

Never once was she rattled,
and every time she fell,
she collected her soul
and moved on to the next battle

Her spunk laced mind lest her temper,
and like a cannonball,
she dangerously flirted with his insane mind

Confronted him with grit,
braved his stance
with her furious glance,
and after an arduous battle,
and a long standing wait,
she erased the fears that engulfed his mind

A New Me

I was a ruinous soul,
a savage,
feared by all.

I am unsure when,
you crawled into my world,
and encroached my closely guarded den.
You caressed my wounds
and nurtured my soul,
tamed my anger
and showed me the blissful knoll.

Then one day I fortuitously saw my face,
and I failed to recognize my own image
I stood awestruck unsure what to do
a new world beaconing
a new me raring to go

Weaved In a Splice

She was a lost soul,
he was equally shattered,
bereaved, locked in his own world
And like fate would have its way
they met on the crossroads of life’s bay

Both torn and rattled,
yet amazed to see how badly
the other person was battered.
She desired to bring him back
from his self-imposed exile,
And he coaxed her atman
to bring back her lost smiles

Slowly but surely, they found their way,
weaved in a splice, bonded, never again to fray

Refusing to Give Up

Her mind came to a grinding halt,
Her visage was white like a shroud,
Her fears jutted out from her heart,
Her doubts shimmering glow even in the dark.

In the midst of such turmoil
she stood tall,
Like a long standing rock
and despite being crumpled and torn
She refused to give up and adjourn.

For the world could take everything away from her,
but not the hope,
That stayed with her,
Her pride laced trope
