Osprey’s Maiden Flight

A young osprey taking its maiden flight,
Training to fly above the ocean before winter arrives,
The grit in her eyes is a beauty to engage,
The tender feathers fluttering with rage.

She falters many times,
Often she falls,
Despite all odds,
she didn’t lose hope.

For no storm can besiege her,
no adversity can impede her flight.

Your Day Will Come

Today you may be a chapter lost in a sea of books,
Or a tune hummed once in some hidden brook.

Forgive them for they are naive,
Unaware of the treasure stored in your hive.

Soon the day will come,
When you will be their moon,
when they will be raring to bask in your sooth.

Remember the dark days have a purpose of its own.
For it needs you to bring the new shining dawn.
