That Pixie Smile

Not any bellowing storm
with zephyr uprooting beliefs,
neither the gut defying dare
for some unprecedented adrenaline release,
nor the scare,
or the fear,
what is diminishing the boundaries
and collapsing those walls
is your pixie little smile

Quailed Desires

She quailed her desires
in the darkest corner of her mind,
scared that the ruthless world
would ruin it,
and she stashed her yen
under the wrap of obscurity,
saving her eyes from welling
the bitterness brine

With such insanity
she led an ostensible life,
and now she assumed
it to be her true self,
wearing some phony smile,
and those brows
doesn’t raise any more
when she experienced any love,
and that heart does sink
when someone said those terse words

Her world was superficial,
so was her charm,
and her thoughts narrow,
desires shallow,
her eyes were a lump of coal,
with no desire to ignite any glow

And when the hopes were tarnished,
and desires came to a grinding halt
he appeared from nowhere,
and embraced her in his magical spell,
but her jolted self,
refused to trust anyone,
and demeaned his thoughts
as some rueful play

He remained determined,
and never gave up on her
for his aberrant eyes,
could see beyond her defiant feel,
slowly he abraded her
one layer at a time,
exposing her soul,
dissolving her fears,
making her vulnerable,
and before she knew,
she was a free soul,
ready to meet him,
on the other side of life

Mystic

Her whiff traveled like sonata’s adagio
slowly engulfing each one of his senses,
and her scent,
abrading one layer at a time,
deciphering some mystery,
creating many illusions,
without any definitive reasons
or any descriptive rhymes

Lost in her spell
he drifted and fell like a feather
from high above the sky
slowly and in a subtle flow
he emerged in her love,
permeating her fragrance
soaked in a few shades of azure
and the vivid artistry
pervading all at once

The more he drowned,
the more he realized,
how mystic was her depth,
how aberrant was her seance

And immersed in her love
he failed to ground his feet,
for her endearment was an abyss,
no enticing words,
no spread of color,
and no audacious thought
could ever hold her soul,
and like an unheard whisper
she was nowhere to be found

My inspiration, My Father

The concern on his countenance never leaves,
the love in his heart never deceives,
he may not show his care,
but his thoughts are always there,
the epitome of sacrifice,
the wall shielding the family,
the hope, the grit, the force,
the navigator helping his loved ones
to never sway away from course,
he who stands tall in the moment of adversity
he is my Father

My dad is no more in person, but his thoughts and lessons are going to stay with me for a lifetime. His sacrifices and his unprecedented love will always remind me of what a true father should be like. He encouraged me to succeed, was hard on me to ensure I taste success, yet when I failed few times he was the first one to pick up my shattered soul. He taught me to be a kind soul, a passionate individual and keeping family interest before mine.

He was in the Indian Air Force and one thing he engrained me to the core is the art of being disciplined. There is so much I have learned from him a blog will never do justice. Today I just want to leave you with two thoughts he used to always say

“Eat what you take, take what you can eat”

“If you have nothing to do, don’t do it here”

Happy Father’s Day to you all.

Her Aura

Such was the aura of her love,
for some she instilled inspiration,
for few her verses were cryptic epistle,
and others found divine in her hazy occult
yet for all,
she was like blessings
showering from up above
