The Kiss of the Winter Sun

I love the kiss of the winter sun basking my world, and in its drape I reminisce the days when you were around, for then, even in the dreadful winter nights your love kept my soul blithe oozing warmth of a million warm days

Dilapidated Barn

Saw the following on my way to Lansing today and got inspired.

A dilapidated barn
in some deserted town
holding memories from some past yore
now stand fragile, alone
without any soul in sight
and once crimson draped has turned gray
and I hope someday someone will visit
to find the tale from the yesteryears

Old Times

And when I look back in times
and play the reel of the adolescence times
the nostalgic moments of my yore days
when the skies were blue and the world was pink
when happiness remained in the littlest of things
when houses were small and dreams were big
when we cried over trivial things
when life was simple and friends were dear
when mischiefs were innocuous and love was real

Not that the current times are not worth it
but the feel of being oblivious
still lingers often on my smile
when I think of the old times

Test of Time

And he waited for the pewter skies to turn crimson
the thunderous clouds to calm,
the deluge to stop,
the storm to abate

And he waited for her genuine smile to radiate,
the heartfelt words to sate,

And he waited for the times
when unstated bond conjured more meaning to any stated covenant

And he hoped his hope will triumph and stand any test of time

Changed Times

He wondered how time defeat desires – all those promises, heartfelt words, extreme emotions, vibrant thoughts, all vanished in a whiff.  And while he was still there, holding a burning flame within him, she disappeared. For her ostensible universe, nothing changed, but his world flipped upside down. And now in such a  blurry view, the only thing he could clearly see is her callousness and trail of broken promises.

Mere Words

The words that used to ruffle your world,
the days when my thoughts made you desirous,
burning that heart while it yearned for me

Are now scattered on your barren canvas, lurching to touch your soul,
but the hearts have changed,
our world doesn’t converge anymore
and the verses that elated you in the past
are now nothing but a mere set of words
staring in oblivion with diminishing hope

Surviving the test of Time

Showing you don’t care is easy, you throw the person out of all equations and ignore their very existence. But to truly mean you care for someone is an arduous task, for it is more than any spoken words, you nurture hope, you surround with empathy, you defy all perturbations, you essentially embrace a person without reasoning and never get influenced by any externalities to define your love.

And if you see someone who you thought cared for you but because of circumstantial incidents the person drifted away, well my friend then that person never truly cared for you. Ethereal bond survives time, never diminishes its shines and that heart will throb with increase escalation even when you are meeting after eons. My love for you is such, it has and will survive the test of times

Unsaid Parting

I think the separation that hurt the most is when people drift apart without knowing the reason? Reticent mind, painful silence, and arduous vagueness, all teasing the worn-out heart, making parting such a devilish experience. Then there exists this pretentious thought, which peeps from the grayness and through the hazy window of a murky mind, giving the delirious heart to raise a tender chance of a fast diminishing hope, ironically making egress a difficult task to fathom.

Emotions blemishing sanity, eyes brandishing gargoyle vision and mind oscillating between sudden sparks of blithe and many bursts of sorrows. Often a lifetime goes by seeking answers and then at the end the mind buries the battered soul in a shell, trying to survive the life, as we call, an ostensible paradise.

Ostentatious – A Flash Fiction

Crawling her thoughts in the crevices of her heart she died a thousand deaths every day, and those nights when she was in the company of her miscreant mind, she battled several torrid times. Yet every morning she woke up, put her make up, displayed a brave face and much against her wish she wore that ostentatious smile. And she survived
