Promontory Rock

Like a promontory rock,
jutting out from a faraway ocean
she displayed her battle scars,
while fighting the mighty ocean
and the invaders’ wrath
from some time forgotten past

And despite all adversities
she stood with profound dignity
often bearing a curt rile,
which the world mistook
as a sign of arrogance,
while it signified her embroiled cast

Don’t Doubt My Love

You can suspect the sun
for refraining you
from getting your share of sunshine

Or the moon
for the blithe, it has to abjure
from showering on you thus far

Or the celestial bodies
questioning its cosmic gleed
that missed aligning to you its blessed stars

You can suspect anything you may desire
but never ever dare to doubt my love

Can I Escape You?

I tried debunking her presence
that looms around me
day and night
making those tender emotions
derelict and denounce

And every attempt to
prow my drowning soul
is deprived
by some unknown gale
levitating from your eyes
draped in some vicious kohl

Even when I am able to escape your captivation for some tiny spell
my atman remain unrest
for regardless of how dark your essence is
it will always remain a place
I can call my own
