Mirror to my Soul

My vision may become blurry
my world may appear convoluted
my hope maybe clouded
my desires may have muzzy touch,
but no cloud can ever muddy my thoughts,
for you are there like a guiding light
showing a mirror to my soul
whenever the appears to be dark

The Chaos

And the downpour was relentless
as if someone slits the skies open
letting the deluge to rush down,
swelled rivers,
flooded streets,
the howling wind
and the screaming breeze

There was chaos,
there was turmoil,
and the gale was about to consume everything
that came its way

But despite such perilous danger
she stood firm,
braving the atrocities one at a time

Then she looked around,
the splendor of crimson hue horizon,
the chirping of birds,
the gentle zephyr humming
welcomed her with an embrace,

She was perplexed
unable to fathom the enigma,
but then she realized
the storm was brewing not outside
but within her delirious soul
and then she knew, she could tame it
and she survived

The Nature’s Arm

I am tired of listening to the humdrum of pretentious talks
the constant bickering and the surge of human screams,
everyone wanting to make their voice heard,
speaking over one another,
demeaning with words,
playing with verse
and then once I escaped into a woodlot
faraway from the human chaos
and found life is blithe in the folds of nature’s arm
the chirping of birds,
the gentle whispers of breezes,
the bleat, yowl, creak and the hum
all in harmony
bringing peace to my unrest soul
